How to configure Nightbot with the command “!uptime”? The use of Bots is increasingly common on streaming platforms, such as the Twitch platform and YouTube, for example.
However, have you ever needed to know how much time you've been broadcasting via the chat itself, so your viewers can see it too?
With that in mind, I decided to create this quick tutorial teaching how to create the command !uptime
on Nightbot for the channel on Twitch and YouTube. Check it out in full!
The process is relatively simple and you have two ways to go about it. The first is directly accessing the bot's Dashboard (Control Panel) and accessing the "Commands" area and creating a new command with the variable in sequence: !uptime
and the command text for:
The channel has been live since: $(twitch NAME OF CHANNEL HERE "{{uptimeLength}}")
If you prefer, the second way is using the broadcast chat itself, where you content producer or a moderator can create the following command directly in the chat:
!addcom !uptime The channel has been live since: $(twitch NAME OF CHANNEL HERE "{{uptimeLength}}")
Important warning: Remember to replace the NAME OF CHANNEL HERE with the name of your channel on Twitch (you can see this information in the URL)
