Phasmophobia has become one of the most talked about games in recent weeks and certainly one of the most played, especially due to its proposal, innovation and quality. In a very practical way, Phasmophobia puts several players on investigations that are in some ways paranormal, with up to 4 players on a team to enter horror scenarios, looking for clues about the spirits that haunt the scenarios and chase people.
In the game, players will have at their disposal a whole set of tools to hunt ghosts, with spirit boxes (known as Spirit Box), ultraviolet lights, crucifixes, night vision cameras, electromagnetic field detectors and even simple and strong flashlights.
In each scenario, you and your team will have to determine which ghost or demon responsible for the haunting has appeared or is in the environment, then return to the resource truck, and leave the place with the mission accomplished and money earned. In total, there are more than 10 different types of ghosts, all with different characteristics, making each investigation unique.
One of the best features that Phasmophobia has is certainly the voice recognition to call the ghost in the haunted environment in good old Ghostbusters style. In addition to the spirits being able to recognize when players talk to each other, they are also able to pay attention to certain keywords or even questions you ask, such as: “How old are you?”, “Where are you?”, among others. Some tools will ask players to say a certain word, while some demons get enraged when they hear their name. Soon, I will have streams of this game on my youtube channel!
My opinion
- Graphics
- Interface
- Fun
- Gameplay
- Functionalities
Conclusion
Phasmophobia is an innovative game, and it brings us the possibility to play a horror and mystery game with friends with a unique and vivid experience. The game is fully compatible with virtual reality – VR/VR, ideal for those who are not afraid of anything – I can't rate this mode at the moment as I haven't tested it yet. With a price of U$ 13.99 USD on American Steam or R$ 27.89 BRL on Brazilian Steam, Phasmophobia promises to be one of the games of October, the month where Halloween is celebrated, as well as one of the best releases of 2020.
