Recently, I was facing severe problems at peak times, for example: 9-10 am and 7-9 pm every day with a slower than usual, implying a possible infrastructure problem or network overload with everyone using the service at the same time in the building I live in.
So I decided to call Oi Fibra's support, after contacting the chat and going through the Automatic Technical Support by application and web (same application). Check out in this article how I solved my problem and how maybe you can also solve yours in a simple way!
After numerous contacts and no success in solving the problem, what I did on my Windows 11 was basically the following:
1 – Open the connections settings
2 – Select more adapter options
3 – Select the Wi-Fi or Ethernet connected
4 – Disable IPv6 – yes, unfortunately
Momentarily disabling IPv6 will resolve the problem of slowdowns at peak times and route losses for this reason, but the problem may still persist. If you prefer, leave it in the comments if I can help you with any questions. On macOS, the procedure is similar, just go to "Settings" -> "Network and Internet" -> "Network Properties" -> Uncheck IPv6 and that's it! 🙂
And you, were you able to solve your technical problem with Oi Fiber? Comment here!
