Warner Bros together with Dc Comics has been trying to get their heroes on the movies for some time now. But in addition to bad decisions in terms of casting, directing and production, there were still problems that were not under Warner's control, but they still happened.
But even with the recent problems there is still hope to solve everything and move on. With that idea in mind they announced a plan for 10 years of movies.
It is undeniable that the famous marvel formula has worked. Multiple heroes, shared stories and a legion of fans. So with the 10 years planned, everyone expects a kind of resurrection of the shared universe.
“As we look at the opportunities that we have broadly, DC is at the top of the list for us. You look at Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Aquaman, these are brands that are known around the world and the ability to lead those around the world with great stories is a huge opportunity for us. We did a reset. We restructured the business we are going to focus on. There will be a team with a ten-year plan focused solely on DC. It’s very similar to the structure that Alan Horn and Bob Iger put together very effectively with Kevin Feige at Disney.”
The WB might try to keep the current universe, reboot the franchise entirely, or possibly expand Matt Reeves' world, The Batman. Either way, big changes are coming. Perhaps Comic-Con 2023 is finally DC's big break, as it is able to deliver a successful Hall H performance that sets a vision for the future after The Flash .
DC's next release will be Black Adam , by Dwayne Johnson, which hits theaters October 21.
