What is the meaning of the term “CMS”?

Have you ever heard of the term “CMS”? Rest assured, in this article you will discover everything about this modality and understand how it works!

You must have wondered the meaning of the term CMS (Content Management System) or content management system. However, before talking about localization itself, it is necessary to make a brief introduction about how this type of system works and how it is divided.

The CMS is a set of tools installed on the server, which are brought together to facilitate the administration, change, publication and maintenance of various content, from simple websites to portals.

Without a doubt, the list of advantages of having a website CMS are huge, however, there are some points that deserve greater emphasis.

Let's take the CMS as an example. Joomla which is an open source system, this feature attracts many programmers to work using this platform, which gives customers and professionals more freedom regarding maintenance and support.

As I mentioned earlier some CMS are open source systems, however there are the monthly costs of hosting in the Cloud, the purchase or the cost of developing a layout by a professional (here it is necessary to have knowledge in programming), and the purchase of plugins, extensions and any other kind of solution that your project may require.

The development of a website in CMS has superior value than a website in HTML, the difference in these values is linked to the added advantages of after-sales.

Think about how much a company would invest to keep its content constantly updated, in the time required to apply these updates.

We are talking about a very competitive internet, the faster and more practical the solution, the better! An updated website will certainly be better positioned in search engines, such as Google, therefore, the CMS is superior.
