Dracula: The Last Voyage of Demeter, based on a single chilling chapter from Bram Stoker's classic novel. The thriller, produced by Dreamworks Studios, tells the story of the Russian merchant ship Demeter, which was chartered to transport private cargo from Carpathia in Romania to London, and where strange events befall the doomed crew as they try to survive the long voyage.
Strange events befall the doomed crew as they try to survive the ocean voyage, haunted nightly by a merciless presence aboard the ship. When the Demeter finally reaches the shores of England, it is a charred and abandoned wreck. There are no traces of the crew.
For horror fans it is a sure choice, especially for those who like the vampire niche that in recent years has gained versions that are far from the originals. From the images already released and the trailer, this is one of those movies to be glued to the cinema chair until the movie ends!
The film stars Corey Hawkins (In a New York City Neighborhood, Straight Outta Compton: The Story of the NWA) as Clemens, a doctor who joins the crew of the ship Demeter, Aisling Franciosi (Game of Thrones, The Nightingale) as a involuntary stowaway, Liam Cunningham (Game of Thrones, Clash of the Titans) as the vessel's captain and David Dastmalchian (Dune, the Ant-Man franchise) as Demeter's first mate.
Dracula: The Last Voyage of Demeter is expected to debut in Brazilian theaters in August, also in affordable versions.
