Step 1: Export your Blogger posts

  • Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
  • Click "Tools" and then "Import".
  • Scroll down to "Blogger" and click "Install Now".
  • Once the plugin is installed, click on “Activate Plugin and Run Importer”.
  • Click "Choose File" and select the XML file you previously downloaded from Blogger.
  • Click "Upload file and import".
  • On the next page, you will have the option to assign Blogger authors to existing WordPress users. If you don't want to do this, leave the option blank.
  • Click “Submit” and wait while WordPress imports your posts.
  • Once the import is complete, you will see a message that your posts have been successfully imported.

Step 3: Check your imported posts

Once your posts are imported, you should verify that everything is working properly. Here are some things you might want to check:

  • Check that the images were imported correctly. Sometimes images don't import correctly, so you may need to upload them manually.
  • Check that categories and tags were imported correctly. Sometimes categories and tags are imported as “uncategorized”, so you may need to manually rearrange them.
  • Make sure your post URLs are correct. If you are using the same domain on WordPress that you used on Blogger, the post URLs should be the same. If you are using a new domain, post URLs must be updated manually.
