Mafia is an action-adventure video game series developed by Czech company 2K Czech (formerly known as Illusion Softworks) and published by 2K Games. The first game in the series, titled simply “Mafia“, was released in 2002 and was set in the fictional city of Lost Heaven, inspired by American cities of the 1930s.
In the game, you take on the role of Tommy Angelo, a taxi driver who becomes involved with the local mafia and becomes an active member of the criminal organization. Mafia is also known for its open-world gameplay, which allows players to freely explore the city of Lost Heaven, undertaking main and side quests, as well as participating in car races and other activities.
