Review: Retro Machina

Retro Machina is an adventure game with an emphasis on exploration and puzzle solving. You play as a robot that is considered defective and rejected. Determined to fix yourself, you explore the last human city in hopes of being fixed. The game is Brazilian and promises to deliver an incredible and innovative experience. Did the game manage to please? Check it out and find out in my review!

Marked as a malfunctioning robot, the robot workers and protectors will try to destroy it. To survive, you have to fight and even control other machines. To progress through the city, you'll have to find passages, overcome obstacles, solve puzzles and find keys to open doors or lower poles that block your way.

Retro Machina masterfully manages to entertain and be fun at the same time, and it is certainly difficult to find some negative points in the game. Some points like, when aiming to send radiofrequency at the nearby robot sometimes it doesn't work as expected bothered me a little, but it's generally quite acceptable. The puzzles are very ingenious, well executed and make the immersion even greater, being well executed throughout the gameplay.

The Retro Machina game is also incredibly dark, and each is one of its best practical and iconic features. The game also has an almost meditative but frightening soundtrack, really hammering the feeling of what was lost – and what can be recovered, in addition to making the gameplay more intense. Retro Machina's setting is honestly one of the best I've seen so far, living up to the game's story and enemies that are sometimes boring, but create a sensational experience.

Certainly, Retro Machina is a game with ups and downs, marked by its impactful story, where players find themselves in the role of a small robot exiled in a world that has long been devoid of humanity. The game has a captivating story, well-designed characters, amazing and very well-constructed arts and scenarios, impactful and immersive soundtrack and an excellent story. Super recommended!
