Review: Rayman Legends

Rayman Legends is the newest version of Rayman's best-known series. Ubisoft, when we talk about 2D and 3D platform games, the rayman enough to stay! The game has arrived initially for the nintendo wii u, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 with its magnificent design, precise gameplay and boundless creativity. Rayman Legends arrived on the Brazilian market in 2013 for the previous generation consoles and PC with a single and complex mission: to continue maintaining the level of quality and fun of its brilliant predecessor, Rayman Origins, released at the end of 2011 (very good!) .

Therefore, the game appropriates a little of the previous base in order to create an even more solid and fun experience, and guess what! A Ubisoft nailed it! The famous progression in campaign mode works perfectly as in the past.

That is, in addition to completing the stages, it will be necessary to collect other points to unlock the new routes in the game. There is no number of lives or the traditional and well-known “Game Over”, something that makes the whole game much more friendly and fun (at the same time).

All levels present in Rayman Legends can be played alone, or also in multiplayer mode for up to four players. But very different from other platform games, which become true players when played in a group, Legends shows another level with a well-balanced and extremely fun multiplayer.

The end of the worlds reserves for the players the epic and classic battles against several giant bosses, in which they add different mechanics to the game in case of winning. Frogs and Dragons are just some of the most varied dangers faced by Rayman in Legends.

By looking at the image above, we can better understand that the graphic quality has improved a lot compared to the previous version (Rayman Origins). There's not much to talk about in terms of the game's graphics, except to praise it, because it's absolutely beautiful on any platform, with very colorful and fun scenarios and characters.

Another highly praised point in the game is that, the Ubisoft nailed it by choosing to keep the gameplay of the game virtually unchanged. The synchrony between the character and the setting is very interesting.

The attack option control also works as expected and adds another option to the game's vast menu. The segment of the commands is completely changed in certain phases of the game, such as, for example, when the character turns into chickens (slowly and with, let's say, modest jumps).

Even in extreme situations, the gameplay remains impeccable. The character's traditional floating mode fits perfectly with the levels full of abysses, where it is possible to use the classic helicopter with Rayman's ears.

Once again, Ubisoft has adopted beautiful watercolor art from the previous version, which stands out for its vibrant colors and charismatic design. Absolutely everything on the screen is masterfully animated, that is, as if the backgrounds were alive.

That is, while Rayman runs in the foreground, enemies, effects and parts of the scenery fill the background of the screen, with an impressive final result for any fan of the series.

Now, when we talk about audio, Legends also stands out a lot for the applied soundtracks. At the end of each world, for example, players are (in fact!) presented with a very fun and cheerful musical path, in which each action of the chosen hero composes the rhythm of the music in question.
