According to Sony, cloud technologies will be extremely important and they are determined not to be left out of this trend. Therefore, they plan to take an aggressive approach to engage in this market. Recently the head of PlayStation, Jim Ryan, decided to comment on the matter:
We see mobility in gaming habits as an increasingly important trend, and the cloud will be instrumental in enabling us, or indeed anyone else, to exploit this trend.
Unfortunately, today is not the place to release those plans, but we have some very exciting and very aggressive plans to accelerate our initiatives in the cloud space that will unfold over the next few months, he said.
Sony is not new to this market, as it has already worked with PlayStation Now a long time ago, a service that is now part of PlayStation Plus, but is not currently available in Brazil.
