In Just Dance 2015, we were able to literally observe that the game continues to invest heavily in hits of the moment, mixing them with classic songs, regional songs and top hits from other eras. In the new version, we can observe a considerable change in the Interface, in the new resources, among other innovations.

Just Dance continues to maintain its powerful central core that, in ways, guarantees the success of the game, basically composed of hits, fun choreography and a sensational scoring system. What's more, the latest released Just Dance franchises have seen little change, and it's responsible for their loyal player base.

The new Just Dance 2015 is mainly celebrated for the arsenal of music that will be choreographed for players to dance and have fun. In terms of game mechanics, Ubisoft hit the nail on the head by not changing the mechanical base, adding only innovations around it, as in this version, which makes the game even more social and fun.

Presenting a super varied repertoire of songs that is on the charts, is already a standard that should be fixed on the wall of Ubisoft developers, since the list of songs is the most anticipated novelty in each release of the Just Dance franchise, and it does not leave anything to be desired in this regard.

Speaking of songs, the new title has a wide variety of songs for all tastes, including recently released songs, such as Bang Bang, by Jessie J, Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande, Maps, by Maroon Five, and Bailando, by Enrique Inglesias, among others.

Several songs that were successful throughout the year paint in the game, such as the great hit Let It Go, from the movie Frozen, Best Song Ever, by One Direction, Burn, by Ellie Goulding, She Looks Perfect, by 5 Seconds of Summer, Dark Horse, by Katy Perry, Problem, by Ariana Grande, and I Love It, by Icona Pop and Charli XCX.

To make things even more fun, there are even several older hit songs, such as Bad Romance, by Lady Gaga, Macarena, by The Girly Team, Never Can Say Goodbye – Gloria Gaynor, as well as exotic songs, such as The Fox, by Ylvis; classic songs, such as Only You, by Love Letter; and even an Indian Christmas song (XMas Tree by Bollywood Santa).

It is possible to clearly observe that the new game of the franchise continues to offer options for the most varied people and countless musical tastes. Even with a traditional version for children (Just Dance Kids), the game also has choreographies for youngsters and songs for the elderly, for example.

This large collection of dance music is a great success of the new Just Dance 2015. Ubisoft knows that its game's audience is very casual and varied, and therefore needs to reflect this when choosing the collection that makes up the game, so that everyone has their precious moment dancing in front of the TV.

In Just Dance 2015, it doesn't matter if you're the type that likes to dance casually or prefer to train until you reach legitimate perfection: regardless of your option, Just Dance 2015 continues to present choreographies both for those who just want to relax a little, and for those who want to go hard and train to the fullest.

Also, just like in Just Dance 2014, each song features alternative choreography versions, which can be purchased with the well-known mojo – in-game currency and/or earned as you dance and get high scores to a certain song. You can even dance sitting down, but it's almost impossible!

Just Dance continues to feature the traditional style of scoring since its first release, with little change over the years in that regard. In this case, the same happens with Just Dance 2015. You earn points every time you hit the steps and you can earn stars as you beat certain numerical levels and records.

In addition, singing the lyrics of a song can make a difference in some versions, such as Xbox One. Some choreographies even have exclusive ways for a single person to sing and the others to dance, granting additional points. It's a fantastic opportunity to improve your English and/or just enjoy the lyrics.

Just Dance 2015 also counts on the participation of users through videos. The Autodance feature, for example, has been slightly remodeled and continues at the end of the choreographies, showing some parts of the dance through an automatically created video, ensuring even more fun for players.

Here's something new! Community Remix allows players to become choreographers. With your console's camera (except Wii and Wii U), you can record your performance of a certain song. The community will vote for their favorite performances and the development team will create a remix version playable with 15-30 players from around the world.

The Just Dance series is no longer a traditional competition between people present for a long time. The proof of this is the Challenger mode introduced in this new edition, which allows you to compete with your friends and people online, even if they are not physically or online with you (yes!).

In all songs, you will be able to follow the performance through the points of your “opponents”, a full plate for those who like competition with other players. Furthermore, if necessary, the Challenger mode can be activated or deactivated on the screen of each choreography. The choice of opponents is automatic, made by the game itself.

In addition to being able to check the local ranking for each of the songs, you can check a weekly ranking for your country and a weekly ranking for the whole world, stimulating competition again, since you have chances to be on that list every week, which makes the game even more competitive and fun.

Another great novelty of this new version is that an unlimited number of people will be able to play Just Dance 2015 through the application. Controller, released for Android and iOS. How it works is simple: just download the application, connect to the video game, choose the music and play. However, when choosing this method, Kinect, for example, is disabled.

My opinion
  • Graphics
  • Interface
  • Fun
  • Gameplay
  • Functionalities
4.7

Conclusion

The new Just Dance is more than the same. The fact that the game maintains what has been working for six years is, without a doubt, a success by Ubisoft, which seeks to innovate around the core of the game, composed of choreographies, hits and scores.

Throughout our analysis on Xbox One, few problems were found, leaving fun with well-assembled choreography for all tastes, packed with hits from the present and the past. And the dispute took root everywhere, in many ways, making the game more challenging for those who like this competition mode.
